Last updated: 24 June 20261. DepositPack is not legal advice
DepositPack is a drafting and organisation tool. It helps users prepare a deposit dispute pack based on information and evidence they provide.
DepositPack is not a law firm, solicitor, barrister, claims management company, or regulated legal advice provider. Nothing on the website, in the generated pack, in support messages, or in any related content should be treated as legal advice.
2. No solicitor-client relationship
Using DepositPack does not create a solicitor-client relationship, adviser-client relationship, fiduciary relationship, or any professional retainer between you and DepositPack.
3. No guaranteed outcome
We do not guarantee that:
- your landlord or letting agent will accept your dispute;
- your deposit scheme will decide in your favour;
- you will recover any amount of money;
- your evidence will be sufficient;
- the generated wording will be appropriate for every situation; or
- the service will identify every possible issue or argument.
Deposit disputes depend on the facts, evidence, tenancy documents, scheme rules, deadlines, and applicable law.
4. User responsibility
You are responsible for:
- checking all facts, dates, names, addresses, and figures;
- removing anything inaccurate or inappropriate;
- deciding what evidence to include;
- deciding whether to send the pack;
- complying with relevant deadlines and scheme rules;
- getting legal advice where needed; and
- making your own final decisions.
5. AI limitations
DepositPack may use AI to generate draft content. AI can make mistakes. It may misunderstand evidence, overstate a point, miss important details, or produce wording that does not fit your case. Always review the output carefully before using it.
6. When to get legal advice
You should consider getting independent legal advice if:
- a large amount of money is involved;
- court proceedings have started or may start;
- you are unsure about your legal rights;
- your case involves eviction, harassment, discrimination, injury, homelessness, or criminal allegations;
- your evidence includes sensitive personal data;
- you have missed or may miss a deadline; or
- you are unsure whether the generated pack is suitable.
